Demo Released for Panzer Command: Ostfront

Matrix Games and Black Hand Studios have released a playable demo for Panzer Command: Ostfront, the third installment to the acclaimed World War II turn-based tactical series, Panzer Command. The demo includes two scenarios: an updated tutorial and a new evenly matched battle in 1944 between German and Soviet forces which shows off many of the new features and improvements coming with Ostfront. Both scenarios are playable either against the AI or by PBEM with other players who have the demo. With many full campaigns and over 70 individual scenarios coming in the full version which will be released on May 9th. The demo is available for download from our site and the following mirrors: Gamer’s Hell Atomic Gamer Worth Playing Game Front Panzer Command: Ostfront is officially slated for release on May 11th, 2011 and the physical version will come sporting a full color printed manual. Strike of the Eagle Pre-order Specials

Academy Games is offering a special pre-order bonus to gamers who order Strike of the Eagle, their upcoming block game of the Polish-Russo War.  Strike of the Eagle is the first game in the Fog of War series of block games to be published by Academy Games. Strike of the Eagle involves 2-4 players vying for the dominance during the Polish-Soviet war of 1919-20. WWI has ended, but the battle for democracy has just begun. Communist movements have sprung up throughout Europe. Trotsky, Lenin, and Stalin plan to blast through Poland in order to support the red revolutions in Germany, France, and England. To simulate the tension of the era due to fog of war, players alternate placing secret orders on their armies in order to bluff, mislead and misdirect their opponents.
