Portsmouth Historic Dockyard
Near the entrance to the Dockyard lies the Mary Rose Museum. Whilst the main bulk of the vessel is treated in its special hangar, other artefacts from the place where she sunk are on display for all to see.
This model display shows how the remains lay on the sea bed.
Here we see a model replica of the special frame used to lift the hull from the sea bed.
{default}This is a full-size replica of part of the hull as it would be seen from outside the vessel.
The same section from "inside".
This is one of the enormous bronze cannons lifted from the wreck before it was brought ashore.
Here are more of the cannon along with other artefacts that survived.
Notice the exquisite decoration on the bronzework.
Finally, replica armour as would have been worn by the ship’s company.
