‘Why Mali Matters’ – Map Revision

The September 2013 issue of Armchair General magazine features the article “Why Mali Matters” by John Sutherland. This insightful article reveals the real danger that the west African country and former French colony could become a terrorist safe haven and launching pad for future attacks. The map of Mali on p. 45 of the magazine article, however, inadvertently contains the wrong map scale. Here is the map with the revised, correct scale.
