Strategic Command WW2 Global Conflict Patched

The latest patch for Furysoftware’s Strategic Command WW2 Global Conflict, v1.04 has just been released.  Featuring over 100 improvemnents, fixes, and tweaks to the game engine and editor, many of these adjustments were driven by player feedback.  Some of the biggest changes (just to name a few) are:

NEW! 1.04 Improved North Africa setup for a more engaging battle between the UK and Italian forces
NEW! 1.04 Significantly improved AI submarine raiding routines
NEW! 1.04 Improved Carrier combat model
– NEW! 1.03 New Submarine movement rules for hidden subs
– NEW! 1.03 New convoy ‘Raider’ setting for Battleships
– Improved AI and turn speed
– New Submarine and Destroyer rules for better handling of surprise enemy contact, diving and naval combat
– New Fighter interception modeling with double intercepts of enemy Bombers and Tactical Bombers.

Save games created with earlier versions of the game are NOT compatible with v1.04. Please finish your in-progress games before applying this patch.

NEW VIDEO ACCELERATION SETTING
If you play the game and notice unplayably slow map scroll speeds and unit selection time, then please activate t he "Video Acceleration" option from inside the Settings panel. That option will use a different method to handle graphics and should put your game performance back to regular levels. If you have never noticed any extreme game slowness, you can leave this option set to OFF.
