SUMMARY
Tank destroyer Pz.lV/70(V) The Pz.lV/70(V) tank destroyer became one of the last production models of the Third Reich's armour. Despite it was a typical wartime ersatz-weapon, this example embodied in its design quite a number of innovative solutions that were later widely used in development of armoured vehicles by the Soviet Union, the United States, Great Britain and France. This book describes the development and employment of the Pz.lV/70(V) tank destroyer. In addition to 110 photographs of the Pz.lV/70(V) in combat and drawing of the example displayed at the Kubinka tank museum, there are drawings of the primary production versions of the Pz.lV/70(V) tank destroyer as well as color pictures of its camouflage pattern. |

"On Kuban bridgehead. Tank fights", Military Chronicle
SUMMARY
From early February to July 1943, the Soviet troops conducted large-scale operations for liberating the Kuban Region. In the course of these operations, the Red Army managed to liberate Krasnodar and adjacent territories, break up the defences of Wehrmacht's 17.Armee in the vicinity of Krymskaya and establish an additional beachhead (that came to be called "Malaya Zemlya" - "Small Land") near Novorossiysk. Within a half year of continuous attacks, the Red Army exhausted the defending enemy units and created prerequisites for liberating the whole territory of North Caucasus. |

"Baltic area defense, June 22 - July 09, 1941" Military Chronicle, World Armies No. 1
SUMMARY
The Baltic strategic defensive operation was conducted by troops of North-Western Front. From 22 June up to 9 July 1941, in Lithuania and Latvia the Red Army was waging heavy defensive battles and was forced to retreat to Estonia and north-western areas of Russia. As a result of that intensive resistance, Soviet troops slowed down the advance of Heeresgruppe Nord and inflicted considerable losses to its attack grouping. This book describes these events and contains in addition 15 colour drawings of uniforms and armaments, 2 combat operation maps and 92 photographs. |

"Khasan lake fights July 29 - August 11, 1938. Opposition between Japan and the USSR", Military Chronicle, World Armies No. 2
SUMMARY
Combat operations near Lake Khasan started on July 29, 1938 and continued on a large scale until August 11 of the same year. The bone of contention was a small segment of Soviet territory on the Soviet-Manchurian border in the Far East. As a result of an intense armed struggle between large units of the Red Army's 39th Rifle Corps and Japanese units of the Kwantung and Korean Army, Mikado's troops were ousted from the Soviet territory, and the territorial conflict was settled on conditions favourable for the USSR. The present book narrates about the military expansion of Japan in China in the 1930s and about battles fought in the vicinity of Lake Khasan. It contains 80 photographs, 20 drawings of armament and uniforms of the contending forces, and a map of the theatre of operations. |
