Oldest Survivor of Bataan Death March Dies at 105

Albert "Doc" Brown defied the rigors and agony of the Bataan Death March, years of interment in a Japanese labor camp, and the post-war prediction of a doctor who told him he likely wouldn’t live to see 50. Brown, the oldest survivor of the Bataan Death March, died August 14, 2011, in a nursing home in Nashville, Illinois—at the age of 105.
