During the last few days, ArmchairGeneral.com‘s weekly opinion poll asked readers what they thought the most likely results of the protests in Egypt would be. Among the 360 readers who had taken the poll by this morning, 44% expect that the power of Islamic extremists will increase; 19% expected the existing regime to continue in some form; and those expecting a new, more democratic government will emerge were in a dead heat with those who expected a military takeover of the government, at 15% each. Seven percent of voters were undecided.
