Hot off the press: Premiere Issue

Editorial Staff

We have a few photos to share of the Armchair General team overseeing the printing of the premiere issue. We have a great team of specialists out there working hard to make this the best magazine possible, closely monitoring every phase of the production. One piece of the puzzle (and perhaps the most rewarding) is finally seeing all the hard work translate into a tangible product rolling off the presses. Here are some pictures to give you a taste of the last step of the first issue’s creation…and the reward of a job well done!

A tiny fraction of the state of the art Quad Graphics printing plant in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.

Our fearless leader Eric Weider on the second story of the massive Quad Graphics plant. This plant covers several hundred thousand square feet.

Our dedicated Production Director, Melissa Moss, worked through the night on Friday and Saturday to ensure that the color throughout the magazine was perfect and that everything was printed according to our high standards.

It’s 4:00 AM Sunday morning and the cover is finally printed! Eric Weider (Publisher) center, Melissa Moss (Production Director) left, and Pamela Valance (General Manager) right.

It’s not all fun and games here at Armchair however. Soon after the first issue was safely rolling off the line, all thoughts turned to Issue #2.  The journey is just beginning…
