CONTEST – Rename ‘The Red Pill’ Game

By Armchair General

What would you call a game that will simulate air/naval conflict anywhere in the world, both total-war and low-intensity/peacetime situations? That's what WarfareSims.com is asking gamers in a contest to rename their game-in-development, 'The Red Pill.'

WarfareSims.com is asking the readers of ArmchairGeneral.com to help them name their naval/air simulation/war game—and maybe win prizes!

The game is currently being developed under the working title The Red Pill, a reference to the Matrix movies. But frankly, WarfareSims.com would like gamers’ feedback to create a really snazzy title for a game that will simulate air/naval conflict anywhere in the world, both total-war and low-intensity/peacetime situations. Players will even be able to download satellite pictures from such places as Google Earth and overlay them on the map. The game will be primarily tactical/operational but with the option to play strategic-scale games.

The winning title will be selected by the staff at WarfareSims.com, and the person whose title is selected will receive a surprise gift from the Red Pill‘s development group. Two runners-up will also be selected to win a subscription or renewal to Armchair General magazine.

To submit your title suggestions, go to the ArmchairGeneral forums and give your ideas for titles. You can submit as many as you wish and return as many times as you wish if you get additional ideas—but you’ve got to do it before March 7, 2011. Not a forum member? Click here for simple registration.

WarfareSims reserves the right to create its own title, but a first-place winner and two runner-ups in this contest will still receive the prizes listed above.
