Civil War History Workshop at Harpers Ferry

By Media Release

We received a media release announcing an on-site summer workshop for teachers, grades 5–12, to be held at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, a place as beautiful as it is historic. American Public University is partnering with the National Park Service to offer an online, three-credit summer graduate course, "Freedom Rising, the Second Year of the Civil War: 1862."

The course will be accompanied by a four-day, summer workshop on-site at historic Harpers Ferry, WV, organized by Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and taught by park historians and other local experts.
