  1. Could a Private John Peters be in the 2nd Infantry, and also then in the 10th, 16th and 26th or is this not a possibility? I don’t know anything about the American Civil War. He was born in 1740 in a place named Hebron, Tolland, Connecticut. He died in 1788 in London age 48yrs.

      If he was born in 1740 and died in 1788, he could not be in the US Civil War, which was fought from 1861 to 1865. The was began after he had been dead 73 years.
