Slitherine Software and newly formed Lordz Game Studio team up

London, 29th January 2007.  Slitherine is pleased to announce that it is to work closely with the Lordz Game Studio on it’s first commercial title. Already well known for their award winning mods, the Lordz has built up an impressive team over the last few years and decided it was time to make the leap from award winning mods to award winning games! Slitherine will assist in design, development and have signed up worldwide publishing rights for the title.

Although it is too early to release many details on the new project, Slitherine and the Lordz have said that it will be a historical strategy game set during the Napoleonic wars. The game will support single and multiplayer and have a campaign game. The game will make use of the Arcane Legion engine developed by Slitherine, which has been nominated for the technical excellence award at the Independent Games Festival.

Tim van der Moer from The Lordz Game Studio said "We are thrilled to work together with such a team on our first project. We share Slitherine’s passion for wargaming and love of challenging strategy games. We hope this is the first of many projects!"

Iain McNeil from Slitherine said "We’ve been in contact with the Lordz for some time now, trying to find a way we could work together. We’ve been extremely impressed with the prototypes we’ve seen so far and know this is going to be a great game."
