Every other year, one person is honored with the Jack Scruby Award for lifetime achievement in the field of historical miniatures gaming. This year's recipient was Todd Fisher, executive director of the Napoleonic Historical Society, founder of Emperor's Headquarters gaming shop and Emperor's Press publishing.

Each year at Historicon, the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society East presents awards for best miniatures, rules, etc. Individuals are also honored for their contributions to the historical miniatures gaming hobby. These are the products and people honored in 2009.
