Searching for MIAs in SE Asia – Interview with Ron Ward of JPAC
The mission of the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC) is to search for all Americans lost during past conflicts, primarily the World Wars, Korean and Vietnam wars and the Cold War.
Ron Ward, a retired US Air Force NCO, analyst and Vietnamese linguist, is currently assigned to JPAC’s Detachment 2 in Hanoi, Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In an exclusive ArmchairGeneral.com interview, he talks about JPAC’s work in Southeast Asia, new technology that offers hope for finding the remains of service personnel lost over water, and the assistance the program receives from Vietnamese citizens, including former NVA and VC officers and soldiers.
Ron is also a member of the ACG forums, under the name miafinder.
