9th Annual Custer Week
The 9th Annual Custer Week, Monroe Michigan celebration kicks off on Saturday, September 29, 2007 with an encampment at the historic Navarre Trading Post, an exhibit of artifacts on the 2007 theme, "Custer & The Civil War" at the Monroe County Historical Museum and a presentation by Gettysburg National Parks Ranger & Historian, Troy Harmon.

Join Living Historians who will present in First Person relating history of the Civil War era, and authors Tom Carhart & Kent Masterson Brown along with Troy Harmon. Join Civil War Roundtables as they present and debate the events of that historic period. End the week Sunday October 7th by attending, “The Wedding of the Century" as the Feb. 9th 1864 wedding of General Custer & Elizabeth Bacon takes place in the original site, The First Presbyterian Church.
