Smithsonian Vote – Art of Video Games

wpengine

The Smithsonian American Art Museum is now inviting the public to vote on its favorite video games over the last 40 years.  The exhibit, called The Art of Video Games, breaks voting down into five eras.  Voting requires registration and care must be taken because once cast, votes cannot be changed.  The Smithsonian promises that all images displayed in their voting are suitable for public viewing by all ages.

Details and registration can be found here:  http://www.artofvideogames.org/

As of this writing the server hosting the voting has been performing slowly.

  1. hmmm sounds interesting i like how they divided the generations and didnt forget the very old school games. video game should get more recognition, since the media loves to blame video games with anything bad that happens with kids. 😐

  2. I agree. Unfortunately, every time I’ve tried to vote I’ve been locked out. Probably they underestimated how many gamers there are out there who would want to vote. I’ll have to try again today – I’m interested not only in voting but in discovering the nominees.
