"Two Maxims"

It is soldiers' Soviet WWII-time song.

Some remarks.

"Maxim" is
1. man's Russian name
2. name of the famous heavy machine gun which was main heavy machine gun of Russian Army 
in WWI and stayed main machine gun of Red Army up to the second half of Great Patriotic War (GPW).

Heavy machine gun "Maxim" was Russian modification of US "Maxim" machine gun.
Produced from 1915. It was a very famous weapon; it became one of symbols of the Civil 
and Great Patriotic Wars.

They couldn't avoid of the splinters
Of a German grenade.
The machine gunner was wounded, guys,
And the machine gun "Maxim" was damaged.

Maxim is being cured for many days
And his friend was repairing also.
And again both the namesakes-Maxims
Return together in a frontline.

And there is a heavy
Buzzing combat in frontline again.
And the two namesakes serve and are friends again,
And both they have name Maxim.
