"If it will be war tomorrow"

It was the sing from the popular pre-war movie " If it will be war tomorrow ". There is the one good 
determination of this movie – facile optimism. In this movie am enemy attacked USSR and the 
large masses of Soviet tanks, planes, cavalry eliminated this enemy. 

This song was very popular before the war, the radio often broadcasted this song.

This song became the symbol of the pre-WWII time.

If evil force will arrive unexpectedly - 
All the Soviet people, all to a man, 
Will stand up for protection of the free Motherland!

If it will be war tomorrow - all the country will rouse
From Kronshtadt to Vladivostok.[1]
The great and strong country will rouse
And we shall eliminate the enemy.

A plane will fly, a machinegun will fire,
Many mighty tanks will rumble,
And some battleships will move, and our infantry will move,
And many dashing tachankas [2] will rush at full speed!

We do not want a war but we are able to protect our land -
We fortify our defense not in vain.
And we shall crush the enemy in enemy's land
With few casualties but with mighty thrust!

There are some other versions of this song, For an example, there is the version which had the 
following additional couplet in the end of the song:

Which is able smash us, - 
Dear Stalin is with us, and Voroshilov [3]
Leads us with an iron hand to a victory.[4]

city-port in the Far East.
[2] tachanka is a famous Civil war time light cart with a heavy machine gun, they were used 
in cavalry units even during of WWII.
[3] Marshal Voroshilov was the famous hero of the Civil War, he was the People Commissar 
(Minister) of the Defense of USSR
[4]"By an iron hand" means "by a strong hand", it means “a hard, assured leadership”.
