(Also it is called "Partisan’s song" sometimes).

Initially it was march of Siberian riflemen of WW1 period. It had lyrics "From mountains and deep 
woods..."
Later melody was used for "March of Drozdovskiy combatants" (Drozdovskiy - one of anti-communist 
leaders of White movement) and "Po dolinam i po vzgorjam":

A division moved forward
By valleys and by hills
To capture Primor’e [1] - 
The stronghold of the White Army [2]

Banners were filling by 
Red color from the last wounds.
Dashing squadrons of Amur’s area partisans 
Were going[3]. 

The glory of those days will never fell silent
It will never fade.
Partisan detachments [4]
Were taking towns.

The nights of the assault of Spassk town,
Volochaevsk’s days, [5]
Will remain as in a fairy tale,
As alluring lights.

We knocked down Atamans [6],
Drove away Voevodes [7],
And finished our campaign
On the coast of the Pacific Ocean.

[1] - Primor'e – the Far Eastern part of Russia (the region of Vladivostok)
[2] Whites - anti-Bolshevick's Forces, Reds - pro-Bolshevicks's Forces
[3] the Amur is the river on the Russian Far East
[4] Partisans - In reality it was not the song of partisans how Westerners understand term “partisans”. 

In Far East "partisans" were not those partisans like they were in the European part of USSR 
during WWII.

In 1922 Bolshevicks had "buffer" state in Eastern Siberia which was situated between Soviet 
Russia and Far East where Japaneses and Whites were. This state had name "Far Eastern 
Republic". Officially it was Democratic Republic with its own troops but in reality when Soviet 
Russia decided to capture White Far East, the regular units of Red Army changed the badge 
of ranks and turned into the units of Far Eastern Republic; One of the best Military Commanders 
of Soviet Russia (Frunze?) became the Commander of Armed Forces of "Far Eastern Republic".

Local Red troops in White Far East were called "partisans" but in reality it were not partisans 
but the irregular troops which contained mainly the different criminal rabble which was glad to 
pillage. Tactic of these "partisans" was not a partisan tactic but a usual army tactic (if it is possible 
to use term "army tactic" to the criminal rabble groups under the united command).

The local "partisans" and "units of Far Easten Republic" (in reality – the regular experienced units 
of Red Army) took part in the combats in Far East, Soviet Russia didn't want problems with 
Japan and officially didn't take part in the events there.

So this "partisans’ song" can be called "the song of Red Forces which took part in the capturing 
of Far East which was under the rule of Whites and Japaneses before" really.

[5] Spassk, Volochaevsk – the last fortified defense position of Far Eastern Whites were near 
these settlements to the West from Vladivostok, hard combats were there.

[6] Ataman – The Cossacks called their highest commander by name "ataman". There were 
some Cossacks organizations which had name "Cossack Troops" ("Kazach’e Voisko"). 
"Cossack Troops" means organization of the Cossacks who live in concrete territory. "Don 
Cossack Troops", "Kuban’ Cossack Troops", "Siberian Cossack Troops", "Ural Cossack 
Troops" and so on were. Any such a "Cossack Troops" was under the command of own "ataman". 
So "to beat atamans" means "to beat the different Cossacks Troops" or "to beat the Cossacks 
in many places". The Cossacks were one of the most important parts of White Forces.

[7] Voevode - it is the archaic ancient Russian name of a high military commander (Army scale 
Commander). Far Eastern Whites called their Supreme Military Commander (Diterikhs) by the 
name "voevode".
