March 30, 2011, has been officially designated Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day by the U.S. Senate.

Armchair General and Weider History Group salute all those who served—ground troops, aircrews, brownwater and bluewater navy crews, nurses, doctors, support personnel. Thank you for your service. Welcome home. And to those who didn’t make it home, thank you for your sacrifice.

Honor a Vietnam veteran you know with a short note in Comments, whether to say, "Welcome Home," or "You live in our hearts."

  3. Bill M., Anne S.—Glad you made it home. And here’s to Bobby D., who came back, but only for a little while.

To all who were there, thank you.

  4. Thanks for your service and sacrifices. You folks are the best!!!

  5. Thanks men, you aren’t forgotten………

  6. I was on board the USS John F Kennedy CVA 67 from 72 – 75. I would like to thank all that serviced, especially those that serviced then when it was not popular. When we were spat upon in airports and called baby killers. I am glad we no longer blame the serviceman or woman for the actions of the government! God bless the Veteran past and present!!
